Gogama Walleye Fishing
On Lake Mattagami lies Green Wilderness Lodge, which is one of the prime destinations for delicious walleye fishing. Try your hand at reeling one in, right from the dock!
With many natural features conducive for a big walleye population, including rocky points, drop-offs, islands and shoals, and a river with perfect spawning conditions. Our lake is always stuffed to the gills!
On average, you can expect to reel in a walleye of approximately 15 inches in length. However, large trophy walleye, up to 15 pounds in weight, have been caught and released. Come visit us at Green Wilderness Lodge if you want to experience some of the best walleye fishing for yourself!
Stick close to shore for the best chance at catching walleye; our guests generally use jigs, or troll with Rapalas and Thunder Sticks. Rubber Twistertails are not as effective. If you do use a jig, we have a large supply of worms and minnows that can be accessed.
